************Mark your calendars for 2008!************
**************August 3, 2008 8:30am**************
Dear Participants,
The Fourth Annual Lavallette Breast Cancer Walk again exceeded
all expectations! Sincerest thanks to all of you, more than 724
in number, who convened in front of The Music Man, that Sunday
morning and journeyed two miles with our mascot, "FRED."
Again we were blessed with perfect weather that made walking
down Grand Central Avenue and back along the boardwalk an exhilarating
experience! Kudos to the moms, dads, relatives, friends, children,
the parade of baby carriages and even the hand held animals, who
marched forward with determination, energy and smiles. Yes, smiles
knowing that each was contributing to a celebration of life, a
celebration of the survivors of breast cancer and those who will
survive in the future, due to more extensive research and ultimately,
a cure.
The Tone Foundation has received over four years in donations
more then $70,000, which is monumental in and of itself, but the
outpouring of your support in planning, organizing and implementing
this worthwhile endeavor was incredible! A note of praise goes
to our township officials, whose cooperation in providing parking
and police coverage made for a pleasant day, to our neighboring
businesses and local newspapers, who helped promote this event,
to our staff, family and friends, who volunteered their time and
talents for the success of the walk and to the many corporations
and organizations, whose generous sponsorship put us over the
top.
We are truly appreciative and look forward to the Lavallette
Breast Cancer Walk 2008 next summer.
"Together we can lick this!"
Sincerely,
Josephine and Robert Agliata
